Alberta Immigration Rural Renewal Stream

Rural Renewal Stream for Immigration in Alberta

The Alberta Immigration Rural Renewal Stream intends to draw qualified Canadian immigrants to the province’s rural districts.

Through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, qualified individuals having a job offer from an Alberta company in a recognized rural Alberta region may apply for permanent residence in Canada (AAIP).

To qualify, communities must have a population under 100,000 and be located outside of the Calgary and Edmonton census metropolitan areas.

Candidates must fulfill standards for a job offer, employment history, education, language proficiency, and a settlement money.

There are two steps to the Rural Renewal Stream process:

Community designation: To fill labor shortages, the community seeks out newcomers.

  • The applicant sends in their AAIP application.
  • Demands for Community Designation

  • there are one or more employers willing to participate who have full-time, permanent positions available.
