Job Description:

  • Perform periodic maintenance of machinery, systems and vehicle engines.
  • Meet with customers to better understand their concerns and identify problems.
  • Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
  • Design an action plan for all maintenance and upgrade tasks.
  • Maintain work logs, repair and maintenance records.
  • Track inventory and order new parts as needed.
  • Provide advice on preventive and maintenance procedures to users of machines and vehicles.
  • Perform vehicle assessments and notify customers of issues that prevent their vehicles from passing inspection.
  • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer`s performance specifications.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
  • Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.
  • Mechanical repairers, motor vehicle manufacturing, perform some or all of the following duties.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.

Automotive Service Technicians, Truck and Bus Mechanics and Mechanical Repairers Jobs in Canada (NOC 72410)

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a vocational or trade school is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for problem solving.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Full time
  • Permanent
  • Day, Weekend, Morning
  • 40 hours per week

 

 

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years in Automotive Service Technicians, Truck and Bus Mechanics and Mechanical Repairers or in related field.

Salary: $29.15 – $40.00 per hour
