Job Description:

  • Greet customers, read and listen to people to determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders.
  • Plan beverage menus and notify customers of new drinks and specials.
  • Select and mix ingredients, decorate glasses and serve drinks to customers.
  • Verify identity to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
  • Inventory and order supplies to ensure bar and tables are fully stocked.
  • Comply with all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Manage cash, credit and debit card transactions, ensure accurate costing and issue change to customers, balance billing.
  • Maintain work and dining areas clean by removing trash, wiping down tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Develop new cocktail recipes.
  • Help customers choose menu items or teach them how to choose drinks
  • Keep the bar stocked and clean in time
  • Provide friendly and attentive service
  • Take orders and make customers feel cared for during their time at the restaurant or event

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Baccalaureate.
  • Additional education, training, certification or experience may be required.
  • Meet the state’s minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Positive personality, attractive and professional appearance.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong time and task management skills.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of beverage preparation tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of recipes for traditional and innovative cocktails.
  • Understanding complementary and unique flavor pairs.
  • Perfect customer service and social understanding.
  • Ability to assess customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
  • Ability to enforce company policies regarding alcohol consumption.
  • Responsibility for inventory management and payment processing.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years experience in related field

Salary: $11.81 – $14.00 per hour
