Job Description

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant customers.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide snacks and beverages.
• Determine customer needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Combine the ingredients to make a cocktail.
• Create and present a bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar supplies and inventory.
• Maintain a guest-centric mindset and cultivate an exceptional guest experience.
• Obey all food and beverage regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, assuring charges are correct and returning correct change to customers, and balancing the cash register.
• Keeping the work and dining areas clean by picking up trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Creating new cocktail recipes

Bartender Jobs in Canada (NOC 64301)

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A resume and evidence of bartending experience
• Excellent knowledge of beverage mixing, garnishing, and serving
• Knowledge of computers
• Positive attitude
• Capability to keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized
• Certificate of relevant training
• Work availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive personality, engaging appearance, and professional demeanor.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent task and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of drink mixing tools and techniques
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods of time.

Terms of Employment: 

• Full time
• Permanent Position
• 40 hours per week

Required Years of Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience

Salary: $13.33 – $25.00 per hour
