Job Description
- Attend pre-construction meetings as required.
- Evaluate plans and specifications of construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Perform field inspection to check building structure and material standards.
- Perform field and laboratory tests on materials to measure regulatory compliance.
- Issue notices of violations and orders to stop construction when structures and materials are not in accordance with regulations.
- Forward deviations and disagreements to the city engineer for clarification.
- Maintain documentation records.
- Perform inspections of existing structures following natural disasters and other events that may affect the integrity of existing structures.
- Assist City staff and the public with inquiries.
- Attend construction project review meetings.

Job RequirementsÂ
- Technical level or suitable alternative.
- More than 2 years of experience as a construction inspector.Â
- Trained in confined and safe spaces in OSHA construction.
- Thorough knowledge of fall protection and work area safety.
- ICA certified.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Well communication skill.
- Willing to work shifts and weekends.Â
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
Terms of Employment:
- Full time
- Permanent
- 40 hours per week
- Day, Evening, Shift, Overtime, Morning
Salary: $23.00 – 34.95 per hour
Required Years of Experience:Â 1 year to 2 years of experience or in related field.
