Job Description:

• Gather all relevant documents including property plans, engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Document study, client meeting and site inspection to fully understand the work required. Decide on the most suitable human and material resources for each project.
• Get several quotes for each of them, then choose the best deals. Negotiate with service providers for better prices.
• Describe a work plan to estimate how long each development will take to complete. Perform a risk assessment to account for potential deviations from the project plan.
• Accounting for the use of our resources, plus a reasonable margin to calculate the overall price. Write proposals detailing materials, costs, and anticipated deadlines.
• Meet with customers to discuss their thoughts and concerns about our services.
• Prepare and estimate construction budget costs by studying plans and specifications.
• Evaluate purchase offers based on site requirements, cost additions and changes.
• Resolve cost disparities by analyzing and gathering information.
• Write and present project budgets, reports and plans.
• Prepare bids for construction projects.
• Work closely with architects and other professionals.
• Schedule meetings with clients, manage locations, and employees.
• Navigate and understand building codes.
• Process documents and travel to job sites, if necessary.
• Process build screen.
• Stick to safety rules and improve buildings.

Construction Estimators Jobs in Canada (NOC 22303)

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, architecture or a similar field is required.
• Certificate in general construction, roofing, electrician, etc.
• Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
• Proficiency in presenting proposals and projects.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of the latest building codes.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Terms of Employment:

• Full time
• Permanent
• 40 hours per week
• Day, Evening, Shift, Overtime, Morning

Salary: $25.00 – $38.50 per hour

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years of experience or in related field.
