Job Description:

  • Equipment must be disassembled and reassembled for repair or transportation.
  • Lay the groundwork for machines.
  • Build and install machinery such as shafts, conveyors, and tram rails.
  • To determine work procedures, review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Transfer equipment to the appropriate maintenance location to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
  • Machine parts should be ground and filed.
  • When using the equipment, keep an eye on the construction workers.
  • Hand tools such as measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment are used.
  • When moving equipment and completing jobs, decide which machines, techniques, and tools to use.
  • Visit several construction sites.

 

Construction Millwrights and Industrial Mechanics Jobs in Canada (NOC 7311)

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a millwright or in a related field is required.
  • Expertise in construction equipment and machinery.
  • Completion of a millwright certificate program that has been accredited.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work well in a group setting.

 

Terms of Employment:

  • Full-time
  • Permanent Position
  • 42.5 hours per week

 

Salary: $25 – $39.85/ Hour

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years
