Contractors and Supervisors, Heavy Equipment Operator Crews Jobs in Canada (NOC 72021)

 

Job Description:

  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety policies.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular equipment safety checks.
  • Make sure the equipment is properly positioned before turning it on or off.
  • Train new crew members in the safe operation of equipment.
  • Carry out additional construction work as required. Pay attention to the safe distribution of concrete and other materials.
  • Immediate reporting of all errors to a supervisor or foreman.
  • Make sure the site is kept clean and safe.
  • Attendance at conferences and refresher courses to ensure responsible operation of equipment.
  • Identify errors and fix the device if necessary. Operate heavy machinery to ensure accurate material removal and placement.
  • Loading and unloading rocks, debris and other materials from heavy equipment.
  • Always observe the prescribed safety rules.
  • Communicate with colleagues as needed to explain project specifications.
  • Report injuries and other accidents to your supervisor. Advise line managers on any necessary upgrades, repairs or replacements.
  • Assist staff in ensuring the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
  • Provide suggestions to improve workflow and increase efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Relevant licenses and security certifications.
  • Professional qualifications are an advantage.
  • Those who have experience using the equipment.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow directions, especially under pressure.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Correct understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good vision or use of prescription lenses.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Good understanding of relevant safety guidelines.
  • Ability to give and follow instructions. Ability to make sharp decisions, especially under pressure.
  • Willingness to work long hours when necessary.

 

Terms of Employment:

  • Full time
  • Permanent
  • 32 to 44 hours per week
  • Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime

 

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years experience

 

Salary: $28.74 – $35.00 per hour
