Job Description

GreenTech Resources is currently hiring Dairy Herdsperson (Noc 8252) for our client based in Canada – 01 positions available who is ready to support an LMIA/PNP. GreenTech is a Foreign Worker Recruitment Company based in Regina.

Established in 2016, we have our offices in Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Mississauga. Greentech deals in foreign worker recruitment, settlement and immigration processes.

Responsibilities for Dairy Herdsperson

  • upkeep of the automated machinery
  • taking care of breeding cattle and making sure calves are delivered safely and in good health
  • administering shots and ensuring cattle health and comfort
  • supervising staff
  • maintaining a clean barn/work area
  • reading and interpreting cattle documentation
  • keeping up to date, and putting into practice, knowledge of safety and sanitary procedures that should be maintained on a cattle farm
  • Milks, waters, and feeds cattle two or three times a day

Qualification Requirements

  • Agricultural service contractors usually require a university degree, college diploma or industry courses in agricultural studies and several years of experience related to the service offered.
  • Contractors providing certain services, such as artificial insemination and pesticide application, may require training certificates and provincial licensing.
  • Farm supervisors and specialized livestock workers may require a college certificate or other specialized training in agriculture or livestock husbandry.
  • A course or certificate in first aid may be required
