Job Description:

• Greeting and making customers feel welcome as they arrive.
• Directing customers to their seats and the restroom, answering menu questions, and taking special requests, as needed.
• Serving food to diners from a counter or taking orders from seated customers.
• Providing food and beverage orders to the kitchen staff.
• Putting together and packaging takeout orders
• Keeping counters, tableware, and utensils clean to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Restocking food supplies as needed.
• Presenting the bill to customers and processing payments
• Following company policies.
• Keeping an inventory of food and ordering supplies as needed.
• After meals are served, clear the tables of dishes, pots, pans, and other items.
• Food storage preparation, such as canning fruits and vegetables and making jams and jellies
• Cleaning and sterilizing kitchen appliances like stoves and refrigerator
• Keeping the workplace clean by removing trash, sweeping the floors, and doing the dishes
• Cold food preparation, such as sandwiches, salads, and desserts
• Removing spills and messes from the kitchen or dining room.

Food Counter Attendants, Kitchen Helpers and Related Support Occupations Jobs in Canada (NOC 65201)

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma is required.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Working knowledge of food promotion, sales, and packaging.
• Ability to process cash registers and bills.
• Working knowledge of POS systems.
• Ability to follow and maintain sanitization standards.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Possessing a positive attitude as well as a polite and friendly demeanor.

Terms of Employment:

• Full-time
• Permanent Position
• 35 to 40 hours per week
•  Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning

Salary: $11.81 – $12.00 per Hour

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years of experience
