Job Description:
- Preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure proper material movement and coordinating with coworkers to ensure projects are completed correctly.
- Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure accurate material removal and placement.
- Loading and unloading heavy equipment with rocks, debris, and other materials.
- At all times, Adhering to the specified safety codes.
- As needed, communicate with coworkers to clarify project specifications.
- Injuries and other accidents must be reported to the line manager.
- Providing advice to the line manager on necessary upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Assisting coworkers in keeping the site clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Making suggestions to improve workflow and increase efficiency.
- Always perform your duties in a safe and diligent manner.
- Monitor workflow and suggest changes to improve productivity.
- Attuned to the nuances of each situation, knowing when to lead and when to follow.
Heavy Equipment Operators (except crane) Jobs in Canada (NOC 7521)
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Previous experience operating a variety of heavy equipment is required.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent vision or the use of corrective lenses
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are exceptional.
- A thorough understanding of relevant safety guidelines.
- Ability to give and receive instructions
- Sharp decision-making abilities, especially when under pressure.
- Ability to work extra hours as needed.
Terms of Employment:
- Full-time
- Permanent Position
- 40 hours per week
- Day, Early Morning, Morning
- Outdoor Worksite
Salary: $23 – $35/ Hour
Required Years of Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
