Job Description
- Search for, locate, and recover existing survey markers such as stones and property irons, as well as place stakes and other markers.
- Compile and validate previously collected data from photographs, previous surveys, maps, deeds, legal descriptions, and other sources.
- Set up grids and rods, and use measuring instruments such as theodolites, prisms, and electronic tools.
- Data should be recorded using electronic devices, image-capture software, drawings, and detailed notes, and accuracy should be double-checked.
- Inventory and maintain survey party equipment, such as vehicles, electronics, and brush-cutting tools.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma from a high school (or equivalent).
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Excellent computation, geometry, and trigonometry abilities.
- CAD, Trimble GPS, and Civil 3D knowledge are required.
Required Years of Experience: 2 or more years of surveying technician experience
Salary: $18 – $27.50/ Hour
