Job Description

• Meetings with engineers, architects, and contractors on project goals and progress
• Overseeing the logistical requirements of a project
• Making sure your project is designed and documented according to contract documents and good engineering practices
• Issuing SI’s and VOs to project management
• Setting targets, objectives, and responsibilities for all supervised staff
• Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals
• Conducting site visits to inspect work, check materials and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines
• Approving purchase requests
• Provides technical support to Project Managers
• Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes

Construction Manager Jobs in Canada (NOC 0711)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required
• 3-5 years of project experience working in the construction industry required
• EIT certification preferred
• Ability to problem-solve and use your initiative
• Outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Skilled at solving conflicts between different project members and staff
• Experience with large manufacturing facilities construction sites preferred
• Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred

Terms of Employment:

• Full Time
• Permanent Position
• 35 to 40 hours per week
• Day, Flexible Hours, Morning

Required Years of Experience: 3 to 5 Years of Experience with the same field

Salary: $28.00 – $43.27 per Hour
