Job Description

  • Communicate with customers to evaluate the work to be done.
  • Perform a diagnostic review to ensure all problems have been detected and the customer is ready to resolve them.
  • Wear safety equipment and do the job safely.
  • Prepare cost estimates and settlement with customers before starting work.
  • Restore the vehicle to its original condition or better by repairing, replacing and improving its external characteristics. Customize vehicles according to customer preferences, as required.
  • Ensure that each vehicle is working properly at the end of the job.
  • Return vehicles to their owners.
  • Verify that issues have been resolved to customer satisfaction.
  • Repair vehicles according to the manufacturer’s estimates and standards.
  • Verify parts against estimates and ensure correct parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepare means for physical work.
  • Notify management of any additional repairs needed.
  • Notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent quality work from being performed or change to the promised timeframe. Keep tools and equipment in good repair.
  • Maintain and wear all necessary personal protective equipment for safety and health, including respirators, as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations regarding paints, thinners and other hazardous materials. Report any deviations to management.
  • Cooperate and assist other staff in vehicle repair and preparation. Understand, stay up to date, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect repair shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA’s right to know, and more.
  • Use all tools and equipment safely.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a car bodybuilder.
  • Having formal training as an automotive body technician will be beneficial.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant safety instructions.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Good physical condition with exceptional craftsmanship. Attentive and meticulous.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.

 

Terms of Employment:

  • Full time
  • Permanent
  • 40 hours per week
  • Day, Evening, Shift, Overtime, Morning

 

Salary: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years of experience or in related field.
