Job Description:

• Inspecting roof structures to determine the best course of action.
• Estimating the labor and materials needed to repair or build a roof for clients.
• Materials must be measured and cut to fit snugly around vents, gutters, chimneys, and walls.
• Rough spots on roofs are smoothed out to prepare the surface for new shingles or waterproofing.
• Replacing damaged or rotting areas of clients’ roofs.
• To create a more waterproof seal, vapor barriers and insulation are installed.
• Setting up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment in a safe manner as needed.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces that are either below or above ground level.
• Keeping the supervisor informed of job progress and reporting any problems that arise.
• Transporting all necessary equipment and materials to job sites in a safe manner.
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
• Install, repair, or replace a single-ply roofing system made of waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric materials, or other asphaltic compositions.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Install sheet metal flashing.
• Install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.

Job Requirements:

• GED or high school diploma.
• A current driver’s license.
• Roofer‘s license from the state.
• Experience in roofing or general construction.
• Working knowledge of various roofing systems
• Solid understanding of business regulations.
• The ability to lift heavy objects, such as tools and materials.
• The ability to work with powered hand tools.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service abilities.

Terms of Employment:

• Full-time
• Permanent Position
• 30 to 40 hours per week
•  Day, Early Morning, and Morning

Salary: $18 – $24.50 / Hour

Required Years of Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the same job field.
